She's recorded, performed, and associated with artists and players for blues/jazz artists such as James Rachell, B.B. King, Betty Carter, Wynton Marsalis to name a few. She's recorded with some of Europe's premier heavy-metal bands (Iced Earth) alongside producers such as Jim Morris. She has also recorded with mainstream pop artists such as Gwen Stefani and Andre 3000. Since her move to Los Angeles, MISSY is garnering attention as a performer within the music industry.
MISSY is at home behind a studio microphone. She is documented on recordings as a drummer, violinist, keyboardist, mandolinist, percussionist, flautist, back-up vocalist, but is now the frontperson, lead vocalist, and the bass player of FreaknMissy and is the bassist for Powertribe.
Since her arrival to the USA from South Korea at the age of seven, MISSY has been challenging stereotypes. Classically trained on piano since early childhood, Missy has matured into a talent who is truly unique in the field of popular music. The classical influences invade not only the extraordinary performance level of this artist, but also the wholly creative writing style of the original music.
